Finding a Way Through Pedophilia with Jesus

“You know, our situation is different.”
As people who suffer from pedophilia, our lives will be different from other people when it comes to children. But God is with us.
The Bible is God’s supernaturally revealed inerrant message to us. Here, I want to give a very broad description of how the Bible is our foundation.
In some ways, these precious trees reflect the Christian experience. God chooses the weak things to shame the strong, the small things to shame the large, and the foolish things to shame the wise.
Here in Isaiah 41:14, we see God bringing encouragement to his people: “Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.“ I’ve recently been encouraged by this text. Being a pedophile is almost exactly like being a worm. Worms live below the surface of … Read more
It’s been a long time now since Christmas. And whilst COVID still stays with us, it’s unfortunate that the wonder of celebrating the birth of our Savior fades into the background, if it was ever in the foreground at all. For many Christians, the idea of incarnation has become so reduced it’s no wonder it so constantly gets categorized as … Read more
When we follow Jesus our shepherd, the path isn’t always comfortable. As he leads us from hilltop to hilltop, we often pass through valleys of tribulation. Here it seems, the environment is oppressive. The air is heavy, and the fire that once burned in our hearts for Christ our savior is reduced down to a few smouldering embers. The show is almost a perfect metaphor for someone struggling with pedophilia. … Read more

There’s a lot of voices out there that we’re all familiar with, ranging all the way from the horror stories of gay conversion therapy to the boneless side A “Christianity”. To make things even more difficult, most christian ministers aren’t well enough equipped to give good, solid, biblical … Read more
The Love of God is a phrase that gets thrown around often. But for those of us who have grown up in an abusive environment, the word ‘love’ may mean something very different to those who didn’t. In order to better understand the love of God, we need to be specific about what it looks like in a practical sense, … Read more
Be still and quiet for a moment, and ask yourself, “What does God think about me?” Maybe your stomach gets knotted up. You imagine that God must surely disapprove of you, and has all sorts of judgments against you. It’s discouraging. You already dislike yourself, and so it’s better not to think about God. I know the feeling. Have you … Read more
Your faith is like a beacon that shoots straight to heaven. God sees it instantly. The answer might take some time and doing, but you can be sure something is being done. Faith is when a person believes God’s promises are real, and acts accordingly. The Bible says faith pleases God, and he looks for opportunities to help someone who … Read more
